Buffalo-Rochester
Annual Meeting Elects

On Monday, September 19, 2011 the Buffalo-Rochester Area Liaison Committee hosted its Annual Membership Meeting. Liaison Committee Chair Don Gervasi welcomed new members and several new faces to the meeting including Equity Business Representative Tripp Chamberlain, his first visit to Buffalo. After observing a moment of silence for beloved member Manny Fried, Gervasi gave a brief recap of the year’s events and activities including the National Plenary Meeting, Labor Day Parade and even a report regarding activity in Olean, NY after the Twin Tiers Theater Festival.

Gervasi also read a letter to Membership from Margot Moreland. Membership is very excited to have Ms. Moreland as our Council Partner.

There was a lively discussion on a multitude of topics pertaining to the Buffalo-Rochester Special Appearance Agreement, set to expire in August.

A Members’ Project Code production was discussed, perhaps with a show in 2013 to coincide with Equity’s Centennial Celebration.

New Committee members were also selected at this meeting. Joining current members Tom Owen, Ellen Horst, Ed Simone and Sheila McCarthy were Don Gervasi, Susan Forbes and Ann Reid (all returning to the Committee) as well as newcomers Ray Boucher, Stan Klimecko, Craig Raisner and Robert Rutland.

At a subsequent Committee meeting in January, the following Committee members were elected as officers: Tom Owen, Secretary; Craig Raisner, Vice-Chair; and Don Gervasi, Chair.
