Union Plus Scholarship Applications Available

Applications for the 2010 Union Plus Scholarship Program, which grants scholarship awards to union members, their spouses and dependents, are now available. The application deadline is January 30, 2010.

To download the application, visit unionplus.org, click on legal & education and then click on scholarships. The website also contains other scholarship information.

The Union Plus scholarship is open to students attending or planning to attend a college or university, a community college, or a technical college or trade school. Applicants are evaluated according to academic ability, social awareness, financial need, and appreciation of labor. Current and retired members of unions participating in any Union Plus program (that includes Equity) are eligible, along with their spouses and their dependent children (including foster children, stepchildren, and any other child for whom the member provides more than 50% of his or her support).
