Career Transition for Dancers

Helps Member Start New Business; Celebrates First Anniversary launched in 2008 thanks to a grant from Career Transition for Dancers (CTFD). The website was created by actor/singer/dancer Equity member Billy Kimmel as an online resource for actors, artists and friends to find or post sublets in New York City. Now celebrating the website's first anniversary, Billy Kimmel recently was asked to speak at a CTFD seminar on Starting a Small Business, and to share his experiences. "As part of a panel sharing our stories of starting new ventures, I realized how invaluable CTFD is for creating forums where people can inspire and learn from each other," said Mr. Kimmel, adding that he received so much feedback from the seminar that it led to the creation of two new features on Sublets Wanted and the Keytag Club.
