Area Description
Seattle is an exciting and vibrant theatre town. The gorgeous surrounding mountains, forests, and waterways make the Puget Sound area an easy choice for 425 Equity members. We have a wide variety of accomplished, professional theater companies, from Tony winning LORT houses to promising start ups. To the south, Portland OR adds its own growing community, and two mountain ranges to the east are the theaters of Idaho and western Montana. Our large theaters host regular EPAs, and each February Theatre Puget Sound hosts a day of Equity auditions for small and large theater companies and freelance directors from throughout the northwest.
