Area Description
Pittsburgh, The Steel City, The City of Bridges, is the second largest city in PA with a metro population of about 2.5 million. Its sits at the confluence of three rivers: the Allegheny and the Monogahela, which together form the Ohio. Our economy is currently based on health care, education (over 30 colleges and universities) and technology. Forbes named Pittsburgh “The 10th Cleanest City in the Country” (2007) the “13th Best City for Young Professionals (2008). In 2007, we were named “America’s Most Livable City” by Places Rated Almanac. At present there are over 20 theaters in the area (including two LORTs) that offer Equity contracts.
