Area Description
Welcome to Boston, the “Hub of the Universe.” Over 800 Equity members live in and around Greater Boston, including NH, RI, ME and VT. Our liaison area encompasses several major LORT houses: A.R.T., The Huntington, Merrimack Rep (Lowell), Trinity Rep (Providence RI); many small-to-medium size theatres under a variety of Equity agreements (including the NEAT Contract); and road houses such as the Shubert, the Colonial, and the Citi-PAC/Wang Theatre. We are home to Stage Source, a resource organization for theatre artists and producers. Boston hosts the annual Elliot Norton and IRNE (Independent Reviewers of New England) awards.
