Actors' Equity Association has been a pioneer with its Student Outreach Seminars which are presented at theatre training programs throughout the country. This highly interactive presentation explores Equity's rich history, offers membership options and fosters relationships with future professionals. The seminars have been such a success that the Outreach program must expand to meet the demands of universities, conferences, and summer programs requesting the seminar. The expansion will be accomplished by utilizing Equity's prime resource-- its members. Through extensive training in New York City, the Outreach Coordinator will prepare selected applicants to present the established scripted seminar throughout the country. In the first phase, Equity will test the program in the Eastern Region.
Seeking dependable, highly energetic and self-starting Equity Actors or Stage Managers to present STUDENT OUTREACH SEMINARS in the Boston, Washington, D.C. & Florida areas. Adjunct Outreach Presenters would schedule presentations in assigned regions.
SALARY: 5 Day Training Session $250 plus per diem. $150 fee per seminar, plus expenses.
National Coordinator will train AEA members in Eastern offices to present 2-3 hour interactive seminar at area universities or conferences. Successful candidates will schedule presentations and report regularly to the National Coordinator.
