Dear Equity Member, As the logo implies, there is a crisis on the road and Equity has taken steps to address it. In ten years, the number of road shows that go out on Equity contracts has decreased substantially while the non-Equity tours proliferate. This is a real threat to your economic well-being and I'm asking you to join us in our efforts. On Tuesday, September 23rd, MISS SAIGON begins performances in Boston at The Wang Center. The producers of this non-Equity show, Big League Theatricals, have refused to sit down with us and discuss union representation for this or any of their other shows. In addition, the top ticket is $75- the same price or more than tickets to some Equity shows. So where are the profits going? Certainly not to the wages or the health package given these actors. Equity has a series of events planned for Boston and I'm asking you to join us. The call times are listed for each event. MISS SAIGON
The Wang Center
Help us take back the road. If you live in or near Boston, or will be in that city during the above dates, join us.
In Solidarity,
