With the Fund's non-HMO hospital, medical and prescription drug benefit moving to CIGNA (from Blue Cross and Union Labor Life/Beech Street) effective October 1, 2003, members should be aware of several tools that may be of assistance during the transition. Enrollment Information Line

There is a help-line that you can use to learn more about the benefits available to you through CIGNA HealthCare. Starting September 15, 2003 and through the October 1 effective date, members can call CIGNA's toll free Enrollment Information Line at (800) 564-7642. The enrollment line is a friendly, helpful resource. One of the CIGNA enrollment specialists will provide you with:

• Information on specific plan benefits.
• An explanation on how the claims process works.
• Assistance in identifying participating (in-network) providers.

This help-line is a special resource to be used between September 15 and October 1. Beginning October 1, you should use the CIGNA Careline.

CIGNA Careline

In September, eligible members will be receiving medical and pharmacy ID cards. Your medical card will contain the CIGNA Careline toll free phone line number: (800) 251-0669. You should begin using this Careline phone number on October 1 to access all of your healthcare needs. Just listen to the prompts and choose, based on your inquiry. Some of the options include:

• Option 1: For any medical claim payment or coverage inquiries.
• Option 2: For information on finding an in-network mental health physician or hospital.
• Option 3: Hospital pre-certification and the Healthy Babies program.
• Option 4: For information on finding an in-network medical physician or hospital.
• Option 5: Pharmacy related questions.
• Option 6: 24-hour access to a Registered Nurse and other health related topics.

Web Network Provider Directory

In order to minimize your out-of-pocket expenses, you should use CIGNA In-Network providers whenever possible. One way to locate and identify CIGNA In-Network providers is through the CIGNA website. The following instructions explain how to do this:

• 1. Log on to www.CIGNA.com.
• 2. Near the upper right hand corner of the website there is a section that is labeled "Popular Links." The first selection under "Popular Links" is "Provider Directory." Double click on "Provider Directory."
• 3. At the next screen you may specify whether you are looking for a physician, pharmacy, hospital or facility/ancillary. You also indicate the zip code and any mileage requirements. After that, hit "Continue."
• 4. On the next screen, under the section that reads "Select your benefit plan or program" choose the second available option. This choice reads "Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), Preferred Provider Plus (PPO Plus), Preferred Provider Access (PPA)…."
• 5. On this screen, you will also choose the type of physician that you are looking for. Do not use the option that is listed "Primary Care Physician." Instead, the default option is "Specialist." All provider types, including internists, general practitioners, etc., are listed under "Specialist." Choose which provider type you are looking for. After hitting the "Continue" button at the bottom of the page, the next screen will provide the list of provider names. The list may continue on subsequent screens. To access them, click "next."
