ABCís Chicago Showcase Open to All, Deadline Extended

ABC Television Network Searching for Actors to Audition

Just Announced - ABC has decided to open the showcase auditions to ALL actors. Any Caucasian actors who have not submitted a headshot and resume are encouraged to do so by March 27.

As part of its ongoing effort to find and develop culturally and ethnically diverse talent, including performers with disabilities, the ABC Entertainment Television Groupís Casting Project has teamed up with Chicago AFTRA/SAG to offer the next in a series of showcases featuring promising actors. ABC Entertainment Television Group plans to audition 700 to 900 actors selected from headshot submissions. Performers chosen from the first round of auditions in April will be invited to executive callback sessions. From those sessions, ABC casting staff will pick 14 to 20 local actors to perform in the Showcase. Open to all AFTRA, SAG and EQUITY members, participants must be at least 18 years old.

The submission deadline is extended to March 27, 2003.
