Milena Govich is the latest recipient of Equity's famous "Gypsy Robe," in GOOD VIBRATIONS at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre on Broadway. The colorful robe was presented to the Chorus member at a special backstage ceremony on February 2, 2005, recreating an historic, theatrical ritual that began on Broadway over 50 years ago.

Ms. Govich previously appeared on Broadway in CABARET and THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE, as well as numerous regional productions.

Merwin Foard, who received the robe in LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, made the presentation on stage on opening night. Kicking off the ceremony, Gypsy Robe Director Terry Marone introduced Merwyn and other previous robe recipients, including: Jack Dabdoub (SHOWBOAT), and Megan Sikora (DRACULA). Marone introduced Equity Communications Director David Lotz. Joining in the ceremony were Equity Chorus Councillors Thomas Jay Miller, and Scott Watanabe.
