AFL-CIO Kicks Off National Campaign to Restore Worker's Freedom to Organize - Wed Dec 10th, 2003

The AFL-CIO will have a march and rally in New York City on Wednesday, December 10th, International Human Rights Day, to kickoff a national campaign to restore workers' freedom to organize unions in America.

We will assemble at 3:30 pm at Federal Hall, 26 Wall Street, New York (take the 4 or 5 Train to Wall Street). From there we will march starting at 4:00 pm to 26 Federal Plaza, which houses the National Labor Relations Board. Our rally at 4:30 pm will call for changes in our labor laws so that workers can organize and bargain freely.

Turnout for the New York City event is critical. We need to convey the message loud and clear that December 10th is only the beginning of an escalating campaign to reclaim organizing and collective bargaining rights.

Please join your fellow union brothers and sisters!

For questions, please call Nancy Fox 212-827-1436.
