Notice re V-Day 2007

Equity supports its members who participate Make sure your benefit is cleared with Theatre Authority

Each year throughout February and March, Equity members volunteer their time and talent to present and perform V-Day benefit performances of THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES. Playwright and V-Day Founder Eve Ensler waives her fees to presenters of the play, and all of the proceeds are donated to local organizations working to stop violence against women and girls. Last year there were over 2500 events in 1100 communities which raised over $6 million for these worthy charities.

Equity supports its members who choose to donate their time and talent for V-Day benefits across the U.S. In order to receive a Theatre Authority waiver for these performances, please contact one of the following Theatre Authority representatives:

Theatre Authority is a non-profit charitable organization founded in 1934 to protect union members who wish to donate their time and talent to charities. Theatre Authority provides assistance to members of the theatrical community through The Actors' Fund of America. AEA, AFTRA, SAG, AGMA, and AGVA are all members of Theatre Authority.
