Celebrating 16 years of outstanding and dedicated service to Equity's Advisory Committee on Chorus Affairs (ACCA), Business Representative Louise Foisy received the first ACCA Award for Outstanding Contribution to Chorus. The award had not previously been announced and was a surprise when it was given following presentation of the first ACCA Award for Outstanding Broadway Chorus to LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL on October 23.

"I know sometimes Tina Turner is called the hardest working woman in show business, but I beg to differ," said Second Vice President and ACCA Chair Jean-Paul Richard. "Working alongside Louise these past years has been a privilege and an honor. Louise has been extraordinary in her efforts to represent the chorus of the Association."

Visibly moved and nearly speechless, Ms. Foisy received a standing ovation from friends and colleagues. "Thank you so much. This is quite a shock, quite a shock. Thank you very much. Unbelievable," she said, accepting her crystal award, a bouquet of roses and thunderous applause. "I am so honored to have this recognition. Nothing thrills me more than going to a show and seeing the chorus when they step out for that number. It's just a thrill for me. Thank you so much and thank you Jean-Paul and the chorus, Council and the Committee. It's been a real, real joy in my life and I'll never forget it."
