Summer Gypsy Robe Recipient Afra Hines Feels Love

I'm so proud to join this list of performers. It means that all the hard work I've put into my career is being recognized and celebrated by my community – my theatre family.”

First Broadway Credit: Wicked in 2006.
Professional Training: Professional Performing Arts High School, The Ailey School, and Broadway Dance Center.
Year Joined Equity: 1997.
How I Got My Equity Card: After being seen about five times for Wicked, I was finally cast as a universal swing, and joined Equity as a result.

Fun Fact: I am engaged to be married this October in Central Park to a Texan I met while working at the Zach Theatre in Austin.
