A Historic 65-Year Backstage Tradition on Broadway

He Rocks! Alan H. Green earns the Gypsy Robe for School of Rock

“I was completely shocked to earn the Gypsy Robe. It was all very unexpected. But the next thing I knew, I had that Robe on and was spinning around like I was Black Joseph in the Technicolor Dreamcoat! What an honor to be a part of such an incredible legacy. I immediately thought of all those Gypsies who wore the Robe who are no longer with us, and then saw the faces of all the kids in our show beaming as they were watching and excited about their futures being a part of our special community.”
