Equity Launches New Member and Employer Web Portals State-of-the-Art System Radically Streamlines and Improves AEA’s Internal Operations and Member Services For two years, Equity has been building vast, new enhancements to its information technology infrastructure to streamline internal operations for the 49,000 member Association. The new, state-of-the-art system was launched on April 2, 2012 and will significantly improve the way various Equity departments interact with each other and the Membership at large. A new web-based Member Portal and Employer Portal are the key components of this new system. Member Portal: members.actorsequity.org
What are some of the features on the new Member Portal? In the new Portal, you can manage your Profile, update your address, manage your contact preferences and change your log-on/password in real time, 24/7. Other options include the ability to select online billing, receive Equity News online, choose paperless balloting in AEA’s elections, and subscribe to e-mail by topic. The Agency and Theatre Directories, VITA information and exclusive AEA discounts will continue to be available. A new feature is a "Member Support" option, which allows you to submit problems or questions online for quicker response or resolution. How do I get to the new Member Portal? Will my username/password change? Click on the "Members Only" link from AEA’s homepage to get to the new site. You do NOT have to change your current username or password.
