DIGNITY DRIVE IS BACK! Our first AEA Greater Washington DC/Baltimore Liaison Dignity Drive was such a success, we're doing it again! Between now and February 7th, please consider helping the homeless in our area by dropping NEW AND PACKAGED UNDERWEAR ITEMS in one of our donation boxes. These items could include boxers/briefs and panties for children, teenagers and adults, diapers, bras (especially in larger sizes), t-shirts and socks. Homeless shelters have told us these items are very needed and rarely donated - people are getting frostbite because they have no socks, babies are getting staph infections from being left too long in dirty diapers, adults and teenagers feel a lot of shame because they don't have underwear that fits or any at all...........please help! In the past, our donations have gone to the Baltimore Coalition for the Homeless, the DC Coalition for the Homeless, the Sacha Bruce Youth Network and the N Street Village for Women (recipients for this year's Drive are still being finalized and will be announced soon!) Additionally, if you can think of other ways to organize donations - you're in a show and the cast and crew want to donate as a group, you're having a holiday party and you collect donations from those attending, you work in an office or live in a community that might like to contribute - please contact Emily Townley, Liaison Committee Secretary, for help and questions!
