SAG/AFTRA-AEA Philadelphia Conservatory Workshop “Taxes and the Working Actor” Monday, January 14 Can I deduct parking for an audition I go to? What about equipment I buy for my house? Is there anything in the tax code I should be aware of? Sandra Karas is the Director of VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program, Secretary/Treasurer of Actors’ Equity Association and member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA. She will conduct a seminar for actors and broadcasters addressing what can and can’t be deducted and what union members should be aware of when they’re filing their taxes.
