Say what?
![]() Jeanette Hartunian Over the past six months, AEA, AFTRA and SAG have coordinated a number of seminars and workshops for the Philadelphia membership of all three unions. Topics included “Taxes and the Working Actor” and “Presentational Skills”. On Monday, June 20, 2011, 50 AEA/AFTRA/SAG members, along with 10 Temple University students attended a workshop concerning Teleprompter Skills. Attendees listened to a presentation concerning the development and use of the teleprompter from the early days of television up to the modern uses and applications that are now available. Many had the opportunity to sit in front of a teleprompter to read from script provided by the TV affiliate NBC 10. Some Equity members who took part included Jeanette Hartunian and Sarah Doherty. Our instructor was veteran producer, station manager and general manager Paul Gluck.
