NOLA AEAs/EMCs Do Benefit for Lazarus House On Wednesday night, April 6th, members of NOLA AEA participated in the 25th Anniversary Gala for Lazarus House by giving a special staged reading of an original short play written for the event. This is the first time in the history of the event that a theatrical presentation of this kind has been given, and the response was exceptional. New Orleans AEA Liaison John Bostic directed the event which starred members Amy Alvarez, Cathie Choppin, Susan Parker, Wendy Miklovic, EMC Vatican Lokey, and young actor Jules Vetter. Member Cheri Arena provided stage management. After the reading, Area Liaison Chair John Bostic spoke on the commitment that AEA has traditionally given to raising funds & awareness for AIDS research and treatment programs almost since the beginning of the epidemic. With tonight's event, New Orleans AEA strengthens that commitment of giving back to our community. Congratulations to all of our members and future members for participating.
