Broadway Impact Team Raises $38K In NYC Marathon

Broadway Impact was honored to be accepted into the 2010 ING NYC Marathon as an official charity. The team of 12 ran 26.2 miles for equality on November 7th and together raised close to $38,000! Our team consisted of Broadway actors, stage managers, producers, publicists, lawyers and political activists, all running to raise funds and awareness for Broadway Impact and our continued work for marriage equality. We are overwhelmed once again at the incredible generosity and efforts of the Theatre community. People from all over the country sponsored our team, cheered for them and were so supportive along this journey. With the support of our team and all that donated, in 2011 we will take our message of equality and acceptance to stages across the country from Seattle, WA to Blaine, MO.

And they're off ! (L-R) AEA Member Rory O'Malley (actor/Broadway Impact Co-founder), AEA Eastern Regional VP Kate Shindle, Rich Martino, Sean Martin, Shayna Steele, Joelle Myszka before the race.

At a post-race party at Gossip, AEA member Gavin Creel (co-founder of Broadway Impact) joins team members Derek Care, Joelle Myszka, Sean Martin, Rich Martino, Rory O'Malley, Randy Meyer and Co-Founder Jenny Kanelos
