This bill would extend Unemployment Insurance and reduce COBRA payments for those out of work and provide critical fiscal relief for states. Working people need this jobs bill. Millions of out-of-work families are relying on unemployment insurance just to put food on their table, and without the COBRA subsidy extension, they will be forced to go without health insurance.

The bill will also offer desperately needed relief to all pension plans, including multi-employer pension plans such as Equity's.

• extend unemployment insurance benefits through November 2010

• protect worker pensions

• extend State Fiscal relief (FMAP) for 6 months

• fund the emergency TANF fund through 2011

• vote YES on the amendment to reinstate the COBRA subsidy that the House stripped from the bill
