Philly AEA-AFTRA-SAG Boards/Committees to March Together on Labor Day Monday, September 6, 2010 Join Us ! On Monday, September 6, 2010, the boards/committees of Philadelphia AEA, AFTRA , SAG are joining together to participate in the 23rd Annual Tri-State Labor Day Parade and Family Celebration, sponsored by the Philadelphia Council, AFL-CIO and the Tri-State Labor Day Committee. The gathering begins at 8 AM, with a program at 9 AM at the Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 19 Union Hall, Columbus Blvd and Washington Ave. The parade travels up Columbus Blvd. at 10 AM. The parade concludes with a celebration at Penn’s Landing Great Plaza from 11AM to 3PM. There will be food, refreshments, kid’s activities, make and take crafts, music and entertainment. AEA, AFTRA, and SAG will have a booth at the Great Plaza. The Liaison Committee plans to gather and distribute Philadelphia area AEA theatre season brochures to encourage fellow union members from all trades to support our Equity theatres. As Labor Day draws near, more specific details can be found at the Philadelphia AEA webpage, the phone hotline or on our Yahoo Group. Please note that there is an unlimited number invited to march, but there are a limited number of spaces available for the 11 am to 3 pm family celebration.
