Weekly Softball Game

The Greater Kansas City Theatre Arts Community and Friends get together for a friendly, low-expectation game of co-ed softball at 2:00 PM on Mondays (weather permitting). We play in Sunnyside Park, on the Northeast corner of 84th and Summit (a block north and a block west of 85th and Wornall). Join AEA and 4As Unions at Labor-Palooza

Monday, September 6, 2010 - 3 PM

The Kansas City performing arts community will be holding their first ever “Labor-Palooza”, on Monday, September 6, 2010, starting at 3:00 PM. Festivities will be held at the Sunnyside Park in the Waldo area, at 84th and Summit, which is one block north and one block west of 85th and Wornall (8399 Summit Street, Kansas City, MO, 64114 if you want to plug it into your GPS or an online map service). All members of AEA, AFTRA, SAG, AGMA, and AGVA are invited to bring their own food and drink, along with assorted recreational equipment such as Frisbees, bats, balls, gloves, kites, musical instruments, etc. and of course, their families (significant other, spouse, kids, dogs, etc.) and join in an afternoon of fun and fellowship. The park boasts three ball diamonds, tennis courts, a basket ball court and a small water park. For those not wanting to prepare their food, there are also multiple fast food restaurants nearby.

Call for Contact Information! AEA Policy and Privacy laws prevent AEA from sharing membership info, so it is up to each individual city to maintain a current list of members to contact for social events, softball games, etc. If you are a current AEA member or EMC, and consider Kansas City as your home base, please contact Licia Watson and request to be added to the list so that you can be notified of upcoming events @ liciarenee@juno.com. Please include your name, mailing address, telephone number, and e-mail address and note whether you are a member or a membership candidate (it might also be fun to include how long you've been associated with AEA!). Providing this information is STRICTLY VOLUNTARY and will not be shared with any other organization. It is simply our attempt to make sure EVERYONE is included in and informed!
