BWAY Health Fair Is Boffo

On Monday, November 9, 2009, the annual "BWAY" Health Fair, sponsored by Better Wellness and You (an entertainment industry consortium) and The Actors Fund, drew over 300 entertainment industry professionals for free flu shots, diabetes and blood pressure testing, mammograms, fitness, movement, acupuncture, chiropractic and nutritional counseling.

This year's providers included: The Al Hirschfeld Clinic (Dr. James Speers, Dr. Vvenkatarama Koppaka and medical students Gregory Stein and Kristen Andersen); North General Hospital; Dia-betics Ltd; Ryan Chelsea Clinton Community Health Center; Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention; American Italian Cancer Foundation; Simpson Chiropractic & Physical Rehabilitation; Seven Acupuncture (Phil Veneziano); Alexander Technique (Joan Arnold); Al D Rodriguez Liver Foundation; Life Inspired Wellness and Prism Fitness (Alan Baron).
