Equity Actors Honored at 2008 Suzi Bass Awards
![]() Equity Councillor Craig A. Meyer accepting his award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical for the Alliance Theatre’s production of JACQUES BREL... The fourth annual Suzi Bass Awards took place at the Fox Theatre's Egyptian Ballroom on Monday, November 10, shining a bright spotlight on Atlanta-area AEA members and theatres. The Alliance Theatre took brought home 13 of the 20 top honors. Five went to Artistic Director Susan V. Booth's highly-acclaimed production of JACQUES BREL…, including Outstanding Lead Actor in A Musical, which was won by Equity Councillor Craig A. Meyer. The musical also picked up Suzi's for Outstanding Production, Director, Ensemble and Musical Direction. Also at the Alliance, Tarrell Alvin McCraney's IN THE RED AND BROWN WATER won four Suzi's including Outstanding Play and Ensemble. Outstanding Actor Awards went to the following Equity members and EMCs:
