EQUITY LAUNCHES OFFICIAL MYSPACE, FACEBOOK WEBPAGES

Are you a "friend" of Actors' Equity? Join us online.

Equity recently launched an official presence on MySpace and Facebook through Flora Stamatiades, National Director, Organizing & Special Projects. She can be found on both sites through her email address, flora@actorsequity.org, and is looking to connect with current Equity members, EMCs, future Equity members, and other Equity supporters.

"In exploring social networking, we've discovered a new verb, 'to friend'," said Ms. Stamatiades, "and I hope that members will 'friend' us as we try this out. We've started 'the Official Actors' Equity Association Facebook Group' and we're looking into starting other groups as well."

Facebook users can now also become a "fan" of Equity on Facebook. Using the "Pages" feature, search for the "Actors' Equity" page and click "Become a fan". Members, EMCs and other supporters are all welcome to use this feature to show their support for the union.
