Production Contract Talks Begin April 18

Negotiations for the Production Contract will begin on Friday, April 18, 2008. Talks have been scheduled through June in anticipation of the June 29 contract expiration. Equity's proposals were approved by the Council at its meeting on April 1. Executive Director John P. Connolly will be chief negotiator, assisted by the Regional Directors and staff from the Eastern, Central and Western regions. The negotiating team will be co-chaired by AEA First VP Paige Price and Third VP Ira Mont.

To facilitate communications during the negotiations, there will be section on Equity's website, IN MEMBERS ONLY, where updates on the progress of the talks will be reported on a weekly basis. In this section, you will also find a schedule of upcoming negotiations, a list of shows (including tours) that are affected, and updates as talks proceed.
