AEA Foundation Grants $60,000 to Theatres

The Actors' Equity Foundation has presented its 2007-2008 Theatre Grants. In total, $60,000 was awarded to 81 theatres in the Eastern, Central and Western Regions. In the Eastern Region, 42 theatres received a total of $38,000; in the Central Region, 18 theatres received $10,500, and in the West, 18 theatres received $11,500. The distribution of monies is based on the proportion of Equity members and theatres residing in the respective regions.

"The Foundation is very proud to continue its tradition of awarding grants to theatres," said Foundation President, Arne Gundersen. "These theatres have an established artistic and administrative track record and have worked to improve the state of the theatre."
