By Michelle Kittrell - Dance Captain, LEGALLY BLONDE
![]() Michelle Kittrell Week 9 and 10 - San Francisco These past two weeks have been busy as we have begun performing in previews. During this process, we rehearse five hours during the day (implementing improvements in all areas) then do the show at night. Then we do it all over again the following day! Needless to say, it requires a lot of endurance and concentration. In addition, we have note sessions. Jerry gives company notes then Denis or Mark Bruni (the Associate Director) will give additional notes. Rusty and I also give our notes before the show or while in rehearsal. Everyone is working together to make the show the best it can be.
Diary Entries
I was asked to write a journal for Equity's website to explain what the position of Dance Captain entails from the ground up on a new Broadway musical. In my case, LEGALLY BLONDE.
Read All the entries: At this point, it is wonderful to hear an audience's response. After we open, the work will not stop as we will have rehearsal everyday until our run is finished here in San Francisco. I'll write about the opening and the rehearsals that followed in my next entry.
