Broadway Stagehands Ratify New Contract

Broadway Stagehands overwhelmingly ratified a new five-year contract with the League of American Theatres and Producers on Sunday December 9, 2007, following a 19-day strike. According to press reports, approximately 1000 members of Local One/IATSE voted in favor of the new pact, which will boost wages between 4% and 4.5% and allow the some flexibilty in work scheduling. The new contract goes into effect today.
