Posted September 29, 2005 Equity, Coalition of Broadway Unions & Guilds, SAG and AFTRA Join Forces on Labor Day in NYC
![]() AFL-CIO President Sweeney and NYC-CLC President McLaughlin The New York City Labor Day Parade took place on Saturday, September 10th, 2005, as thousands of union members, families nad freinds marched up 5th Avenue in show of strength and solidarity. AFL-CIO President John Sweeney and NYC Central Labor Council President Brian McLaughlin welcomed marchers at the reviewing stand.
![]() Local 802 American Federation of Musicians AEA members were joined by "sister union" members from the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) and the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) in the line of march, lead by a fabulous musical float provided by Local 802, American Federation of Musicians. Also in the line-up were members of COBUG (Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds), AGMA (American Guild of Musical Artists), WGA-East (Writers Guild of America East), Local 1 IATSE Stagehands and others.
