San Diego Liaison Committee Update

The San Diego Equity Liaison Committee is hard at work representing your best interests with the LA Equity office and promoting union actors to San Diego producers. Here is an update of what was discussed at our last meeting.

1) Headshot Books
As most of you know, our committee maintains AEA headshot books and provides them to any local producer who is committed to hiring local union talent. We update this book twice a year, and our next update is right around the corner: June 6, 2005.

If you have not yet submitted to the book, here is what you need to do to be included:

Put 25 headshots and resumes in an envelope, along with cash or check for $5 and mail it to:

The $5 goes to cover the expense of the sheet protectors and binders we use for this project. The deadline is June 4, 2005 for June's update.

If you have already submitted $5 and headshots/resumes, but would like to update your information in the books, simply send 25 new headshot and/or resumes (without $5) to the above address and we will replace them for you.

2) Equity Council Meeting in NYC
Erin Cronican, 2nd Vice Chair of San Diego's Committee, is headed out to New York City May 14-18 to represent San Diego at several days of Equity Council meetings. This trip is designed to educate liaison chairpersons about the inner workings of the union and is also an opportunity to network with liaisons from other cities, while promoting the incredible work being done by San Diego AEA members!

3) Equity Hotline updated frequently with local auditions
Be sure to check the Equity Phone Hotline for local auditions: (888) 266-1731 x103 You can also find this information at the Equity website at in the Casting call section.
