On Tuesday, August 3, 2004, UNITY 2004 Journalists of Color will present a Public Town Hall Meeting on the “New Multicultural Dynamic in Entertainment, from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Washington Convention Center, 801 Mount Vernon Place, NW, Washington, D.C. The event is free and open to the public.

Join leading artists of color in music, film, television, theatre and publishing, including: Hip-Hop Artist Doug E. Fresch; Mo’Nique, from television’s “The Parkers;” Native American rapper, Litefoot: Sandra Oh, from HBO’s “ARLI$$:” and Lupe Ontiveros, from the motion picture SELENA; as they talk about the fight for acceptance of people of color in the media and the entertainment industry and how people of color are portrayed.
