The Howard Caine Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA-LA) starts taking appointments on Monday, February 9, 2004. For information, call (323) 549-6666. Their first Forms Class will be on Tuesday, Feb 17, 2004. Their office is located in the Museum Square Building, 5757 Wilshire Boulevard, Mezzanine #104.

Preparation packets can be picked up in person or e-mailed. Their e-mail address is actorvitala@actorstoolbox.com.

VITA LA office hours are: 11 AM to 3 PM, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and from 11 AM to 5:30 PM on Thursdays.

The office is staffed by volunteers from Equity, SAG and AFTRA who complete an IRS training course. Members of Equity, SAG and AFTRA get assistance in completing their taxes in a group setting called a Forms Class. Attendance at a Forms Class requires an appointment.
