St. Louis Equity Helps 100 NEEDIEST CASES

Michele Burdette Elmore and Betty Sievert

The St. Louis Equity membership spread good cheer and the holiday spirit by adopting a family profiled in the 100 Neediest Cases sponsored by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for the United Way Agency. Members joined forces and donated over $1500 in cash and gifts for much needed items including a new queen size mattress, clothes, food, money for utilities, linens, towels, and toys for the kids. Liaison committee member Michele Burdette Elmore presented these items on behalf of the membership to Betty Sievert, director of the 100 Neediest Cases. Mrs. Sievert, coincidentally, is no stranger to the performing arts. She was selected for the Muny singing chorus back in 1945 and was later offered several recording contracts.

A stocking full of kudos to the St. Louis Equity Membership.
