November 10, 2004 Actors’ Equity Accepting Nominations for Prestigious Rosetta LeNoire Award Award Recognizes Individuals, Theatres, or Producing Organizations For Non-Traditional or Affirmative Casting (November 8, 2004) Actors’ Equity has announced that nominations are now being accepted for the 2005 Rosetta LeNoire Award. The award, named in honor of the noted stage, film and television actor Rosetta LeNoire, was created by Equity’s Council in 1988 to “recognize outstanding artistic contributions to the universality of the human experience in American Theatre," by either an individual, theatre or producing organization, through either non-traditional casting or affirmative casting.” All nominations should be submitted in writing, accompanied by articles or testimonials that will help substantiate why the individual, theatre or producing organization deserves this honor.
