Florida Repertory Theatre
Fort Myers, FL

LOA

Equity auditions were held in Florida in May; Theatre is still seeking the following available roles only:

NOISES OFF by Michael Frayn. Dir.: Robert Cacioppo. 1st reh.: 10/5/10. Runs 10/26–11/20.

Fredrick Fellowes:
40s-50s. Debonair leading man type. Prone to nosebleeds; gets weak at the sight of violence. Rather dim.

Selsdon Mowbray:
70s. Befuddled/confused actor; alcohol problem. Propensity for falling asleep &/or missing entrances – especially when he’s had too much to drink.

GASLIGHT by Patrick Hamilton. Dir.: Robert Cacioppo. 1st reh.: 11/9/10. Runs 11/30–12/19.

Jack Manningham:
Mid 40s. Classic, handsome, suavely diabolical villain w/air of mystery. Slowly, methodically torturing his wife into insanity.

Inspector Rough:
Middle-aged, grayish. Warm-hearted police inspector. A bit brusque & overbearing. Plays a hunch, orchestrates Manningham’s undoing.

SYLVIA by A. R. Gurney. Dir.: Maureen Heffernan. 1st reh.: 12/14/10. Runs 1/4–1/23/11.

Greg:
Recent empty nester; career is beginning to slow down. Sylvia, the dog he found in the park, becomes the object of his middle-aged affection.

Added 6.14.10:
THE 39 STEPS Adapted by Patrick Barlow from the novel by John Buchan. Dir.: Jim Helsinger.
1st reh.: 1/11/11. Runs 2/1 – 2/26/11.

Richard Hannay:
About 40. Attractive. Pencil moustache. Dashing Hitchcockian leading man.

AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY by Tracy Letts. Dir.: Robert Cacioppo. 1st reh.: 2/15/11. Runs 3/8-3/27/11.

Note: The Weston family is approaching total meltdown, and this play finds them in the midst of a crisis. None of these people are in a good place. They are all broken in some way.

Beverly Weston:
69. The missing patriarch.

Ivy Weston:
44. Middle Weston daughter. A bit plain. Hasn’t had luck w/men. Not the favorite daughter. Has found love w/her cousin, Little Charles.

Karen Weston:
40. Youngest Weston daughter.

Johnna Monevata:
26. Native American woman. Housekeeper. New to the family. Quiet, strong.
